Committee
The CUSF Committee is responsible for the management of the society. It is composed of society members (so all members carry out technical work in addition to their committee roles) and is elected annually at the society AGM. Some of the committee roles include handling sponsorship and funding, recruiting new members, ensuring documentation and publicity is carried out and is up-to-date and so forth. A smoothly operating committee removes as many administrative barriers as possible to the engineering work.
The overall command structure of the society, as shown below, is split between technical leaders and committee members. Technical leaders serve as project managers to ensure that each team and subteam is carrying out good quality work, on time and within budget. They are not elected like committee members but instead selected in a quasi-democratic mystical process.
